Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Kate and Kevin

We love today’s real wedding. I know, I say that about all of them (I can’t help it, I’m a sucker for a wedding!) but this one is especially close to my heart. As you may know I am a former wedding planner and Kate and Kevin’s wedding was the very last one I planned. Such a wonderful couple with fantastic families, and hey, have you ever seen a better looking couple? What a pleasure it was to work with these two and their families to create this fantastic day!
The day started with a beautiful Catholic ceremony with Kate, Kevin and their immediate families. I loved how they kept the group intimate and the decor to an absolute minimum. To me, the simplicity of the morning was perfect and beautiful in its own right.
After a bit of a break, we regrouped for a stunning beach wedding at the Beachcomber. Kate and her family have grown up vacationing at the Beachcomber so this spot is extra special for them. Again, the decor was simple but stunning and the bride was GORGEOUS!
Look at those gals–stunners! (OK, the guys look good too!!). There are just too many good images to share so come back later for more and, of course to find out who the providers were that made this day happen!

Welcome back for Trash the Dress Tuesday! Today we’re not trashing the wedding dress–this is more of an engagement shoot trashing situation. Loving the colors and this oh so gorgeous couple! What are your thoughts about trashing the dress–wedding or otherwise??

Happy Monday!!! Hope you all had a good weekend and are ready to roll this week! This Monday Mini is two fold…a fun photo PLUS a great guest book idea! Instead of the standard guest book, buy some post cards when you reach your destination and have your guests fill them out during the reception. You can even take it one step further…have your Maid of Honor or another trusted individual hold on to them and mail them to you on your first anniversary! This way, when you’re eating your freezer burn cake you can reminisce about your day through the eyes of your guests!!
Have a great week!!!

Hi Darlings. Hope you all had a great week and are looking forward to a fun filled weekend!!! Love this wedding we’re showing you today…I mean, they had cupcakes for one (and who doesn’t LOVE cupcakes???). Even better, though–there was a full rainbow to top off their decor.
See, told you there was a rainbow!!!! Happy Weekend everyone!

Nothing like a little color to brighten up anyone’s day, don’t you agree? I am absolutely in L-O-V-E with this wedding so full of color you can’t help but smile!
Simply stunning!!!! Aside from the colorful parts, don’t you just love the white lanterns lining the aisle? Such a great way to incorporate decor accents without taking the focus away from the couple or clashing with all of the beautiful colors of the couple and their guests!

Morning and Happy Thursday!! So excited to wrap up the last real wedding of the year with this one. It’s got style, it’s got details and it’s got color. What more could you ask for???
The wedding was held at Villa Tortuga–one of the many stunning villas on Grand Cayman. Here’s a planning tip…if you are booking a villa for your wedding, be SURE to ask if they allow weddings before you book. Some do not and you don’t want to find that out on your wedding day!

Did you eat a lot of dessert over the past two days??? Don’t lie–you’re not alone. Speaking of dessert, checkout this fun dessert table…perfect for a tropical inspired wedding or perhaps say a birthday that is on this coming Saturday (ahem, mine), or just for fun!!

So leading on from our fantastic lime and navy wedding yesterday, this stylish couple is also loads of fun! As such, they could not complete their wedding weekend without a super fun trash the dress session!!!
(Side note…have you ever ridden on one of these things?? I personally have not but it seems like you pedal A LOT and don’t go very far…)
There they go! Water’s fine, jump right on in!!
Note :: John Michael’s fins match his tie. That is TOO cool!!!
Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Ok, so let me explain myself. Yesterday I told you my thought process was a bit backward but didn’t explain why. Well, here’s why…I chose this wedding to be featured this week and then came across the inspiration board with the same color palatte. I didn’t plan it and usually the inspiration becomes before the actual and, well, so there you go.
Anyway, I move on. Today’s wedding reflects yesterday’s color palatte of Navy and Lime Green. I L-O-V-E the bridesmaid dresses and so many details about this wedding! The couple really personalized every aspect and created a fun, fun weekend for their guests!!

This photo puts me in a good mood. Seriously–I love the color and pinwheels make me think of the county fair or the local carnival. Fun stuff from when we were kids!!
Happy Monday Folks!!
