The word for today’s wedding is GRACE. Yes, you could use gorgeous, stunning, romantic, beautiful and about a billion other synonymous words but from the minute I laid eyes on this wedding it just felt graceful. Come to find out that both the bride and groom are ballet dancers so that makes a lot of sense.

You know me, I love a wedding full of tradition and bold colors. Add a beautiful beach setting and well, you had me at hello (or I Do)! This wedding is not lacking one iota of gorgeousness and, as Aunt Orchid would say, it really is the cat’s pajamas (that’s a great thing, by the way!)

Morning and Happy Thursday!! So excited to wrap up the last real wedding of the year with this one. It’s got style, it’s got details and it’s got color. What more could you ask for???

The wedding was held at Villa Tortuga–one of the many stunning villas on Grand Cayman. Here’s a planning tip…if you are booking a villa for your wedding, be SURE to ask if they allow weddings before you book. Some do not and you don’t want to find that out on your wedding day!

Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Josephine and Stephen

I’ve been browsing through some “blasts from the past” and came across this wedding I posted a long, long time ago (about a year and a half ago). I just love it–I’ve always loved it. The colors, the opulence and the gorgeous couple–I felt the need to share with you again! Hope you enjoy and have a great weekend!!

First, the couple…HELLO magazine models (well, actually the bride is). Second, the colors–WOW is really all I can say about that…just too beautiful!

Let’s get you started with some of this eye candy by Aaron Rebarchek ::

Isn’t that aisle just beautiful? I told you it was different than what we usually show here!

Josephine’s favorite design element was the bridesmaid bouquets. Check them out below! Lime green mums with teal ostrich feathers against the bright purple dress–again, I say, WOW! It’s not often that you see weddings with this amount of color and I love it!

No detail was left unnoticed at the reception. Lush linens, peacock feathers. chandeliers, candelabra and more. Each of the tables were named after famous couples from history as opposed to the standard table numbers.

Cayman Islands Beach Wedding

Lovely. Beautiful. Elegant. Simple. These are the first words that come to mind with this beachfront wedding. The color palatte is mostly white with small pops of yellow and coral (great combo!!) but overall, this couple let the beach setting do the talking!

Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Yewande and Olaniyi

I don’t even know where to start with this wedding. EVERYTHING (and I mean EVERYTHING) was absolutely gorgeous. First, I fell in love with the bride and groom, then the stationery, then the table settings, then the guests…the whole three days looked so amazing and full of fun!!!

The couple and their “small” group of 100 guests (they are from Nigeria and for them, 100 people was small) spent some time together exploring the island. The first night they took a sunset cruise on a Red Sail catamaran. Catered by Mise En Place, this group did not go hungry!!

The second day started off with some golf and then, in the evening, the group got together for what looked like a GREAT P-A-R-T-Y!!! With dinner at LUCA, the group danced the night away with the fantastic band, Bona Fide.

Check out the photos of these two days from their friend and photographer, Wale Ariztos. He captured some great moments–a ton of laughter, some fantastic dancing AND a fire eater!!!

Then came wedding day….

With everything on the wedding day taking place at the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman, we were off to a good start. Add in Yewande’s amazing dress and gorgeous yellow shoes and there was no turning back!!! Loving the letterpress stationery, although you already knew I was a paper junkie!

And, of course, the DANCING!!!

One last amazing detail and very special touch…the bride and groom slipped thank you notes to each of their guests during the after party so when they returned to their rooms a Thank You was waiting for them. I just thought that was SO thoughtful of them to think of their guests in this way.

Congratulatons Yewande and Olaniyi! Thank you so much for allowing us to share your wonderful wedding weekend!!

Cayman Island Real Wedding :: Moroccan Theme Beach Wedding

Here’s a fun and colorful twist to start your week off! Sally and John went with a Moroccan theme for their Cayman Islands Beach wedding. I love the concept, the color and all of the details–hopefully you will too!

The ceremony was on Seven Mile Beach at the Caribbean Club. Don’t you love the way the chairs were set up on a curve? It’s like a great big hug! I do love the sunset colors used as well and can’t get enough of those lanterns!

The ceremony went from mostly beach with pops of color to the cocktail hour and reception at LUCA with full on color! How about those linens??? Holy cow they are funky and fun!

Red, white and beach all over…Cayman Islands Real Wedding

Happy Friday! I hope you had a good week and are geared up for the weekend!! If you’re getting married this weekend–WOOHOO–cheers to you! I walked into the store today and it was DECKED out for Christmas. I am a post-Thanksgiving decorator myself so am not quite in the mode but when I saw this wedding, the red and white reminded me that Christmas IS just around the corner!

I love the strong color against the backdrop of the Cayman waters and while this wedding was small and intimate, the red made a big impact!!!

Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: SURPRISE!, Part 1

What a day for these folks! They had a small ceremony with very close friends and family during the day and then headed to their engagement party. Surprise, not only are we engaged but we’re married! Oh, and if that wasn’t enough to celebrate, surprise, we’re having a baby!! How much fun for all of the guests to be able to celebrate these amazing milestones together!!
