Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Lynsey and Matt, Part 3

To top off all of the romance and fun, this couple decided they would “Trash the Dress”! If you’ve never heard of this, it’s when they can really let loose and capture their F-U-N side by literally trashing their wedding clothes! Here are some shots from that very fun session!!
Matt said, “I just wanted to add, the Trash the Dress session was an amazing addition to our wedding! To dress up again afterwards, drive around the island to different shoot locations was a lot of fun and we had so much fun with Rebecca!!”

I’ve been thinking of having a “Trash the Dress” photoshoot with my husband – our wedding was in 2006 – Maybe our Five Year Anniversary could be made magical with a photoshoot…
In the meantime my dress is in a garbage bag recovering from the muddy outdoor wedding in Ridgefield. (Hurricane Ernesto was not part of the plan – perhaps if we renew our vows we’ll do it Cayman style) The only use I’ve had for it was being a Zombie Bride for Halloween last year
Kudus to Lynsey and Matt – your photos are great, and the memories will last a lifetime. We so rarely have the opportunity to be glamorous in this world we live in – so enjoy it while you can, and have those photos blown up and put on your walls!
Christina how cool. A lot of brides after they see other shots of couples decide that they want to do the same after they are already married. But that is okay…. we do this all the time. Good for you. Come to Cayman and and trash the dress!!!!You sound like you are lot of fun!!!. See you in 2011!!

I have to admit that we were a little apprehensive about “trashing the dress”. Rebecca talked us in to it (Lynsey needed a little more convincing than me) and we were SO GLAD that we went through with it. the pictures turned out amazing and the whole experience was crazy fun! it’s absolutely worth it! and after all that worrying, Lynsey’s dress and my suit are totally fine.
the pictures from the day of the wedding are fantastic but some of our favorites are actually from the trash the dress shoot. we had the one of us up against the tree roots printed on a large canvas and to us it’s a piece of art!
if Rebecca suggests that you trash the dress, just go for it!
