Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Nadia and Tony, The Party

After the vows had been said, the speeches had been made and the cake had been cut, this couple and their guests danced the night away!!! Welcomed to their first dance in a sea of sparklers, the couple headed back down to the patio at the Cracked Conch. After dancing for the first time as husband and wife, Nolly took the floor! What a hit she was!
The guests really got into it, raided the fun dress trunk and had a ball in the smile booth! Everyone had a great time and danced the night away!!!

Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Nadia and Tony, The Reception

We hope you enjoyed the ceremony yesterday and are ready for some really fab details from the reception today!! Let’s get right to it!
I know we see a lot of ring shots, but this is my favorite, ever, by far! One thing I didn’t mention yesterday is that the couple were residents of Grand Cayman, however, the bride originally hailed from South Africa. I love how she brought in various African aspects to the elements…for example, the cake!
Remember how I told you the couple was F-U-N? Instead of just saying “Gin and Tonic”, they thought more fun to name their signature cocktail…Mosquito Repellent. Love it (and I think it actually worked!)
The ongoing theme…”I Do…”, “You Better”. All said in jest, of course!
Later on today–the dance party, surprise guest and all of the fantastic providers who made this day happen!!

Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Nadia and Tony, The Ceremony

Morning everyone! I have been waiting with anticipation to share this wedding with you. Why, you ask? Well, when I tell you that it’s different than any other wedding you’ve ever seen on Crystal Blue Weddings, I’m not joking. Also, this couple is so fantastically fun–you can see it on their faces in the photos. I’m only going to show you the getting ready and ceremony today so you’ll have to come back tomorrow for the rest of it!!! (Trust me, you won’t want to miss it!)
Right from the start you can see the non-traditional elements coming into play..I mean check out that gorgeous dress!!! Looks even better on Nadia than it does on the hanger–she rocked it!
With the fun and contemporary color palatte of black, white and hot pink, everything was stunning!! Now, I told you they were fun…you will see the “I do” and “You better” throughout the day…they cracked me up!
The couple had a sand ceremony during the wedding proceedings. Look at the sand containers! Octopus Events designed them and had them hand painted especially for the couple. I just love them–what a great keepsake!
At the end, all of the guests released balloons as the couple walked down the aisle. I know, I know…not exactly environmentally friendly, but hey, it was pretty amazing to see!
Come back tomorrow for more details on the rest of the day along with all of the fantastic providers who made this day happen!

Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Jenny and Josiah

I was so happy to receive this wedding to share with all of you. The couple is gorgeous, the details are beautiful and I just plain love this wedding. Looking at the photos I could feel the joy during this day and there are so many romantic aspects, what’s not to love? Also, and I just have to throw this in there…these two HAD A RAIN BACKUP!!! Thank you, very much!
Since Jenny and Josiah had previously lived in Cayman, the decision to marry here was easy. They wanted to share all of the things they love about Cayman with their family and what better time to do that then at their wedding! The couple incorporated local bougainvillea into their ceremony decor with the beautifully decorated chuppah to give the decor some local flavor.
This lovely couple had planned to be married outside on the deck of the Cracked Conch, but Mother Nature had other plans. They moved their ceremony inside, however, when it was ready for cocktails and dancing, the skies had cleared!
Oh, did I mention they had my favorite color scheme?? Aqua and orange…I just love it!
Everyone finished off the night dancing under the stars!!!
