Loving the details of this wedding.  Light pink Calla lilies, a ring bearer bowl from Paloma’s Nest, gorgeous jewelry, some delicious looking food and of course the reason for the whole thing, the stunning couple!

David Wolfe did a great job at capturing the essence of this wedding held on the beach of Grand Cayman Beach Suites with the reception on the to-die-for rooftop (seriously, you can see both sides of the island from here and I promise you, there is no better place to see the sunset!!!)

Loving this Lily Pulitzer inspired wedding we have for you today!  The pink, the green and some orange mixed in makes this a tropical beauty, topped off with a stunning Monique Lhuillier gown and surprise fireworks and we’ve got ourselves a just about perfect Cayman Islands wedding!

Crystal Blue ::  Why did you choose Grand Cayman for your wedding destination?

B&B ::  We thought Grand Cayman would be the perfect destination for our beach wedding.  I (Brittain) had been several times with my family when I was younger and thought our guests would love the Cayman Islands.

There are some fabulous little details in this wedding.  The shoe check for the ceremony where everyone could leave their shoes, pick up a pair of flip flops and a fan.  Island style all the way!!

The party started at LUCA for the rehearsal/welcome dinner the night before the wedding.  The ceremony took place on Seven Mile Beach at Grand Cayman Beach Suites with cocktails following at Hemingways.  The party then continued at Brittania Golf Club across the road for a fantastic dinner and dancing!

I am LOVING the fabric on this canopy!  Not your traditional white, ladies!!

Come back tomorrow for more details and the 411 on the providers who made this all possible!

Happy Friday everyone!  Hope this real wedding brings some smiles to your faces–just like the ear to ear grins on this Aussie couple!!

For place cards, this cute, creative couple wrote each person’s name in the sand, took a snapshot, printed it and voila…a place card!

One of my favorite color palates…

Small details to make it personal…

And a TON of laughing and smiling!!

Happy Valentines Day!!  We all know today is a day full of love, chocolate, roses and cards with doilies (well at least that was the case in grade school, right??) so we are happy to be able to share this love filled gorgeous wedding with you today!!!

Crystal Blue ::  Why did you choose Cayman for your wedding destination?

K&S ::  We had been to Cayman twice…for my cousin’s wedding and for one day on a cruise ship and we fell in love with Cayman.  Then after losing a special family member who loved the Caymans, we knew without a doubt this would be our location.  My mother and I decided we wanted everyone to experience just what my aunt enjoyed and loved so much about the Caymans.

Crystal Blue ::  What was the design inspiration for your wedding?

K&S ::  Light pinks and coral w/ a little accent of turquoise.  I wanted it to be unique, I was pretty picky with the design and decor!  After researching and looking at other weddings/decorations for a year I knew exactly what I liked and didn’t.   My favorite part of the whole design were the canopies we had around our dinner tables.

There are so many beautiful details in this wedding I was just dying when I saw the photos!!  Oh, and let’s not forget the gorgeous day!

Happy Monday everyone!!  I hope you all had a nice weekend (and for you locals, I hope you are continuing to enjoy yours!).  Today we’re featuring yet another wonderful Cayman Islands wedding–this one full of turquoise details and fun times!!

I love all of the different shades of blue and the beach details.  This couple really brought in the Caribbean flavor without going over the top into cheesy detail!  I’m really in love with the swirl flourish on their centerpieces!!

This lovely outdoor venue, Hemingways at Grand Cayman Beach Suites, is an ideal intimate location for smaller wedding groups.

Cayman Islands Venue :: Grand Cayman Beach Suites

Happy Friday everyone!!!  I hope you all have had a good week and are ready for the weekend!  Today we wanted to introduce you to Grand Cayman Beach Suites, one of the island’s most unique venues for your wedding!

Grand Cayman Beach Suites is on Seven Mile Beach so already we’re off to a good start.  My favorite part about this venue, though, is the rooftop location you can use for your ceremony or reception!  Looking out over the entire island you won’t get better views than this rooftop!  The space is basically a blank canvas so you can be as creative as you want to make the it your own personal retreat.

The team at Grand Cayman Beach Suites is also amazing.  They will take great care of you from minute one and can help you with all of your planning needs!!

Here’s a great rooftop wedding…

Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Lindsay and Scott, Part 2

Welcome back for more of Scott and Lindsay’s Christmas Eve Wedding!  Loving this beautiful turquoise and orange color palate and the fun, laid back style of this couple!

After the ceremony the guests were met with the couple’s signature drink, the Cayman Sunset (appropriate, I’d say!!) and then made their way up to the rooftop for a great dinner, heartfelt speeches and dancing the night away!

Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Lindsay and Scott

If you love beautiful people, gorgeous colors and the beach, you must stick around for today’s real wedding.  Lindsay and Scott were married Christmas Eve of this past year.  They  must have been ‘nice’ all year, because Santa gave them the most amazing day for their wedding.

Scott and Lindsay chose Cayman after vacationing here with Scott’s family.  They wanted their wedding to reflect their personalities–easy going and non-traditional–and Grand Cayman gave them exactly what they were looking for.  They exchanged vows at Grand Cayman Beach Suites on Seven Mile Beach with their reception on the fabulous rooftop.

They chose the tropical colors of turquoise and orange complimented with natural touches like their bamboo canopy. These mango calla lilies were perfect for the color palate!

Guests stayed along Seven Mile Beach in various condominium complexes and enjoyed all that Grand Cayman had to offer.  Octopus Events helped organize the wedding as well as other events like the rehearsal dinner at Casanova Ristorante and a “boys day out” deep sea fishing.

Come back for more photos and details in a little while!

To top off all of the romance and fun, this couple decided they would “Trash the Dress”!  If you’ve never heard of this, it’s when they can really let loose and capture their F-U-N side by literally trashing their wedding clothes!  Here are some shots from that very fun session!!

Matt said, “I just wanted to add, the Trash the Dress session was an amazing addition to our wedding!  To dress up again afterwards, drive around the island to different shoot locations was a lot of fun and we had so much fun with Rebecca!!”

Thank you both for sharing your day with us!

Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Lynsey and Matt, Part 2

Thanks for coming back to see more of Lynsey and Matt’s fun and romantic Cayman Islands wedding!!

We chatted with the couple to get their perspective on things…here’s what they said!

Crystal Blue :: What was your design inspiration for your wedding and what design element was your favorite?

Lynsey ::   We wanted an intimate and romantic setting for the whole day.  I love how everything looked and but my favorite piece was the cake table surrounded by candle light.  We worked with Celebrations and asked for warm coral flowers and soft lighting…it was so much better than what we asked for!  (And the Cayman sunset didn’t hurt either!)

Crystal Blue ::  I love that cluster of candles as well…and the rooftop of the Grand Cayman Beach Suites, it’s such a unique venue in Grand Cayman.  How did you choose it?

Lynsey ::  That was the toughest decision we faced, but in the end, you can’t beat the location and the view of Grand Cayman Beach Suites!

Crystal Blue ::  Tell us some memories you have from your day.

Lynsey ::  Well, the thing I remember most was seeing Matt for the first time as I walked down the aisle.  It was magical!  One really funny part was during our ceremony.  Our ceremony had a Celtic theme and we were meant to take turns reciting a poem.  When it came time, we both started at the same time.  After a good laugh, we just recited it together!

Crystal Blue ::  I would say that is just appropriate!!!

We have more for you from Lynsey and Matt…after everything, they Trashed the Dress!
