So I mentioned earlier, but just in case you missed it, this was a surprise wedding (for most!). The guests thought they were attending this couple’s engagement party but when they arrived, SURPRISE! WE’RE MARRIED!! As if that wasn’t enough of a reason to boogie down and celebrate there was one more surprise in store for these folks…A BABY IS ON THE WAY!! What a great evening and a fun way to share all of this great news with friends and family!!
I would’ve been all over this candy bar, fyi…and aren’t you just loving that martini centerpiece? That has fun written all over it!!
This has got to be one of the CUTEST photos of all time. I love when all of the guests are down with the Crazy Booth!

Welcome back to this tropically festive fabulous wedding!
Crystal Blue :: There are so many lovely details in this wedding. What was your favorite design element?
B&B :: Scrolled messages in a bottle gave everyone their table seating. The table names were of Essie nail polish colors related to wedding names liked “Happily Ever After” and “Wedded Bliss.” Each woman had the nail color of their table at their seat.
At the end of the evening, all of the sudden, fireworks went off!! They weren’t planned for the wedding but a nearby location had them for an event and luckily everyone at the wedding benefited from the spectacular display! As my Dad said, timing is everything!!

After the vows had been said, the speeches had been made and the cake had been cut, this couple and their guests danced the night away!!! Welcomed to their first dance in a sea of sparklers, the couple headed back down to the patio at the Cracked Conch. After dancing for the first time as husband and wife, Nolly took the floor! What a hit she was!
The guests really got into it, raided the fun dress trunk and had a ball in the smile booth! Everyone had a great time and danced the night away!!!

We hope you enjoyed the ceremony yesterday and are ready for some really fab details from the reception today!! Let’s get right to it!
I know we see a lot of ring shots, but this is my favorite, ever, by far! One thing I didn’t mention yesterday is that the couple were residents of Grand Cayman, however, the bride originally hailed from South Africa. I love how she brought in various African aspects to the elements…for example, the cake!
Remember how I told you the couple was F-U-N? Instead of just saying “Gin and Tonic”, they thought more fun to name their signature cocktail…Mosquito Repellent. Love it (and I think it actually worked!)
The ongoing theme…”I Do…”, “You Better”. All said in jest, of course!
Later on today–the dance party, surprise guest and all of the fantastic providers who made this day happen!!

I love when we are able to bring a lighting professional into the mix of providers to enhance the design of a wedding. Specialty lighting can add so much from soft romantic light to full floods of color, pin spots to beautiful chandeliers. The possibilities are endless and the effect is amazing!
Today we wanted to introduce Intec Research, the Crystal Blue preferred lighting specialist. Located in Grand Cayman, Intec also spreads it’s arms to Jamaica as well. The team is full of creative and technical specialists who are ready to give that ”WOW” to your wedding!
Here’s even more good news…you do not need to know technical lighting language to work with them. You don’t even need to know exactly what you want. Lastly, what I’m sure worries many of you, you don’t need to have an enormous budget to include a little bit of lighting in your wedding.
Here are a few examples of what Intec can do for your wedding (and this is really just scratching the surface!!).
At this wedding, the colors were white, pink and black. In the beginning of the evening, they kept it fairly light and throughout the night, the pink color intensified.
Here, Intec used pin spot lighting to enhance each of the centerpieces.
At this event, in addition to the red color wash, Intec a gobo to reflect a pattern on the ceiling of this tent. The pattern mimicked the pattern on the cake!
Last, make it personal. Add a gobo with your names, your monogram or an image to brand your wedding. The couple had the gobo on their dance floor, but you can put it anywhere!
As I said above, these few images just scratch the surface. There is so much a lighting professional can do to really enhance your design and even completely transform a room to work for your wedding. To learn more about Intec Research click here.
