Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Kate and Kevin, Part 2

Thanks for coming back to check out the rest of Kate and Kevin’s fantastic day!!  Let’s get going with Part 2!

After the Ceremony, the couple and their guests walked down the beach to LUCA.  Here they enjoyed an amazing dinner and of course this group had a ball dancing the night away!!!

Hold it right there—did you think I was finished with this gorgeousness!!??  Not quite my dears….here is a video clip from their day!

Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Yewande and Olaniyi

I don’t even know where to start with this wedding.  EVERYTHING (and I mean EVERYTHING) was absolutely gorgeous.  First, I fell in love with the bride and groom, then the stationery, then the table settings, then the guests…the whole three days looked so amazing and full of fun!!!

The couple and their “small” group of 100 guests (they are from Nigeria and for them, 100 people was small) spent some time together exploring the island.  The first night they took a sunset cruise on a Red Sail catamaran.  Catered by Mise En Place, this group did not go hungry!!

The second day started off with some golf and then, in the evening, the group got together for what looked like a GREAT P-A-R-T-Y!!!  With dinner at LUCA, the group danced the night away with the fantastic band, Bona Fide

Check out the photos of these two days from their friend and photographer, Wale Ariztos.  He captured some great moments–a ton of laughter, some fantastic dancing AND a fire eater!!!

Then came wedding day….

With everything on the wedding day taking place at the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman, we were off to a good start.  Add in Yewande’s amazing dress and gorgeous yellow shoes and there was no turning back!!!  Loving the letterpress stationery, although you already knew I was a paper junkie!

And, of course, the DANCING!!!

One last amazing detail and very special touch…the bride and groom slipped thank you notes to each of their guests during the after party so when they returned to their rooms a Thank You was waiting for them.  I just thought that was SO thoughtful of them to think of their guests in this way.

Congratulatons Yewande and Olaniyi!  Thank you so much for allowing us to share your wonderful wedding weekend!!

Cayman Island Real Wedding :: Moroccan Theme Beach Wedding

Here’s a fun and colorful twist to start your week off!  Sally and John went with a Moroccan theme for their Cayman Islands Beach wedding.  I love the concept, the color and all of the details–hopefully you will too!

The ceremony was on Seven Mile Beach at the Caribbean Club.  Don’t you love the way the chairs were set up on a curve?  It’s like a great big hug!  I do love the sunset colors used as well and can’t get enough of those lanterns!

The ceremony went from mostly beach with pops of color to the cocktail hour and reception at LUCA with full on color!  How about those linens???  Holy cow they are funky and fun!

Cayman Islands Wedding Venue :: LUCA

You have seen it featured in many of our real weddings and we just wanted you to get to know LUCA a bit better!  One of Grand Cayman’s most popular wedding venues, Luca combines amazing Italian cuisine with a contemporary atmosphere, just a few steps to the Beach.  Located on the ground floor of the Caribbean Club, LUCA is a fabulous location for any wedding reception!

Not only are the owners and staff downright awesome but the chef is truly talented…anything you want, they will make.  I had a client that requested a mudslide cake for their wedding cake and let me tell you, that was one of the BEST cakes I have ever tasted (and as my Mom says, I’m not a cake person)!

As you can see, Luca has a large wine room with wines from all over the world.  The setting inside is contemporary with beautiful art work, dark wood furniture and gorgeous ambient light.  The patio outside is perfect for dining as well, overlooking the beach and Cayman Sea!

Are you having your wedding at LUCA (or did you have your wedding there)?  We would love to hear about your experience!  To learn more about LUCA, click here.

A few weeks ago I posted a story board about signs. I love when people use fun signs to add to their decor and these folks took that story board and brought it to life! Each sign they used had meaningful words that really stop and make you think about what this day is all about–marrying the one you love.

The aisle was lined with different signs along the way.  Some heartfelt, some to give a laugh.  After all, isn’t that what marriage is supposed to be about?  Growing together, sharing your hearts with each other and laughing A LOT!

Loving the bridesmaids dresses…I love how their all different and the berry color really is gorgeous!

The signs continued into the reception…I would have been all about those maracas!!  Shake, shake, shake!!

Loving this Lily Pulitzer inspired wedding we have for you today!  The pink, the green and some orange mixed in makes this a tropical beauty, topped off with a stunning Monique Lhuillier gown and surprise fireworks and we’ve got ourselves a just about perfect Cayman Islands wedding!

Crystal Blue ::  Why did you choose Grand Cayman for your wedding destination?

B&B ::  We thought Grand Cayman would be the perfect destination for our beach wedding.  I (Brittain) had been several times with my family when I was younger and thought our guests would love the Cayman Islands.

There are some fabulous little details in this wedding.  The shoe check for the ceremony where everyone could leave their shoes, pick up a pair of flip flops and a fan.  Island style all the way!!

The party started at LUCA for the rehearsal/welcome dinner the night before the wedding.  The ceremony took place on Seven Mile Beach at Grand Cayman Beach Suites with cocktails following at Hemingways.  The party then continued at Brittania Golf Club across the road for a fantastic dinner and dancing!

I am LOVING the fabric on this canopy!  Not your traditional white, ladies!!

Come back tomorrow for more details and the 411 on the providers who made this all possible!

Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Ashley and Todd, Portrait and Trash The Dress

by on November 4, 2010
in Real Weddings

Welcome back!  Our final installment of Ashley and Todd’s wedding.  For the week leading up to the wedding, Ashley was unsure about trashing the dress.  I told her, knowing Rebecca Davidson as well as I do, if she’s on the fence about it, she will end up in the water with the dress on!  So, needless to say, I was not surprised when these photos landed in my inbox!  Look how much fun they’re having–Ashley, you made the right decision!!!

They started off their portrait session at Camana Bay which has all sorts of gorgeous nooks and crannies!

They then moved on to the Shangri La Bed and Breakfast for a few shots…

And finally took to the water for the official trashing of the dress!!

Well done you two and congratulations!!!!!
