Cayman Islands Accommodation :: The Ritz Carlton, Grand Cayman

You’ve seen Ritz Carlton, Grand Cayman real weddings featured on Crystal Blue many times. They are, of course, always stunning affairs, personalized to each couple, as small and intimate or large and grand as you like. The beauty of it all is that the personal service doesn’t just extend to wedding details.
I have personally stayed at the Ritz Carlton, Grand Cayman (yes, I know, I only live down the road, but it was a nice get-away!!) and was blown away by the thoughtful attention we received from everyone. My husband planned a night there for us on our one year anniversary. He might have mentioned to one person (who is a friend of his that happens to work there) that it was our anniversary and then within minutes, it seemed, everyone who worked there was wishing us a happy one! I was amazed and still wonder how they all knew!!
We were greeted in our room with personal notes from the guest services team–yes, personal, handwritten notes (seriously!), champagne and strawberries. I was touched that anyone even went to the effort of writing a note to us–perfect strangers who were only staying one night.
The entire experience, from the minute we walked through the door, was beyond any expectation I had. I’ve stayed in very nice hotels before (and not so nice ones as well…) and while the service was great at those it was what I would expect at any hotel…friendly helpful staff, beautiful grounds, etc. etc. These folks at the Ritz Carlton, Grand Cayman really knocked my socks off, though and I would HIGHLY recommend it as a fantastic place to stay–wedding, honeymoon, anniversary or just for a night!!

P.S. Needless to say, I was not surprised when the resort was voted the “Best Caribbean Resort” by Conde Nast, 3 years in a row!!!
Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Kim and Kenyetta

Welcome to 2011!! We hope you had a great time ringing in the new year and to start you off, we have a fantastic Cayman Islands Real Wedding for you today! I love so much about this wedding…the blue (of course!) the gorgeous bride, the amazing venue and the emotion coming through on these fantastic photographs!!
Kim and Kenyetta were married on the Great Lawn at the Ritz Carlton, Grand Cayman with a gorgeous poolside reception to follow.
Crystal Blue :: Why did you choose the Cayman Islands for your destination wedding?
Kim and Kenyetta :: We travel extensively for business and leisure so we had many options to consider. In order to narrow down our options, we agreed that the Ritz-Carlton would be our choice for a hotel and researched their Caribbean properties. Upon seeing the pictures of the Great Lawn online and visiting the island for a personal tour of the Ritz-Carlton, we knew that this would be the destination for our wedding.
Crystal Blue :: What was the design inspiration for your day?
Kim and Kenyetta :: Well, one of our favorite colors is blue and although we were in the Cayman Islands, we wanted winter represented so we came up with a “Blue Ice” theme. Our favorite design element from the day was the organza draping of the gazebo on the Great Lawn.
Crystal Blue :: Did you plan any excursions for your guests?
Kim and Kenyetta :: We arranged for a private boat trip to Stingray city and 2 snorkeling stops, however, due to the weather, we had to modify the itinerary to just include a trip to Stingray City and a stop over at Kaibo for lunch.

Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Heather and Tom

Welcome to Wedding Wednesday!!! We hope you’re having a good week and are excited to share Heather and Tom’s Ritz Carlton wedding with you!
I always wonder why couples choose the Cayman Islands for their destination wedding. I mean I KNOW why, but does everyone know what I know??
I asked Heather and Tom why they chose Cayman…here’s what they said:
“From the moment Tom and I got engaged in May we both knew we wanted a small intimate wedding someplace warm. We had been researching several locations online when I remembered a cruise that took me to the Grand Caymans when I was younger. I had only spent a day there, but I had a great time. We began to look into what the island had to offer and were very happy with everything we had seen, but being that this would be one of the most important days of our lives Tom and I decided we needed to experience things for ourselves. So, in July we took a vacation to Grand Cayman and stayed at The Ritz Carlton hotel on Seven Mile Beach. We were blown away by the food and service they provided us that we knew it was the place for us.”
Heather and Tom’s ceremony was held on the Great Lawn at the Ritz Carlton and their intimate reception in one of the many gorgeous ballrooms the Ritz Carlton has to offer. The Ritz Carlton has a full compliment of services from wedding planning and coordination to floral design to event rentals. The folks there will take care of all of the details for your day!
The kings banquet table was stunning and Heather’s favorite design element from the day. A long, low vase filled with red roses accented by two tall vases with calla lilies brought romance with a touch of drama to the table. Coupled with a ton of candles, this table was stunning!
And, of course, it wouldn’t be a wedding without a bit of dancing! This little guy boogied all night long!!!

Welcome back! I promised you some cute details and here’s where you’ll find them! First, though, some more gorgeousness from Better Angle and the Ritz Carlton.
So Rachelle and Justin love their dog. I mean, REALLY L-O-V-E their dog. Unfortunately he couldn’t make the trip, but that didn’t stop them from incorporating him into their wedding details.
The favors…
The escort cards….(note the dog collar used to hang the luggage tag)
And finally…
I had to do a double take on this one, but alas, they are human cookies.

Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Rachelle and Justin, The Ceremony

From the moment I saw this wedding I fell in love. First and foremost everything was absolutely beautiful. Second, there were some really cute and fun details incorporated into the day. Then, I chatted with Rachelle and found out how they got engaged and I knew I had to feature this wedding on Crystal Blue!
The proposal :: Justin and I have been going to Dave Matthews Band concerts for about 10 years every summer. It has always been a “summer thing” of ours to do. Somehow, Justin worked it out with a friend of ours who works for the Dave Matthews Band to give us all access back stage passes at a concert in NY and he proposed to me on the side of the stage during a song about a boy who has a crush. (CBWS note…I am a HUGE Dave Matthews Band fan, and I mean HUGE. I couldn’t think of a better evening–backstage at DMB and a proposal. Awesome!)
The beautiful color palette of turquoise and lemon rocked in so many ways. Rachelle’s bridesmaids above–absolutely gorgeous in that stunning dress!
The ceremony at the Ritz Carlton, Grand Cayman was one of a kind. The aisle was a series of bamboo canopies draped in white fabric and accented by yellow flowers and star fish. The bride and groom stood under the final canopy to exchange their vows.
Crystal Blue :: What was the design inspiration for your day?
Rachelle ::
We had seen a walkway that we fell in love with in a picture and when we were beginning to plan the wedding, we knew we wanted a similar design. With the help of Adriana (our coordinator) and Frank (the floral designer) the vision was turned into a reality. As for the colors, we wanted something that would complement the ocean and the beach which was why we chose the blue my bridesmaids wore. The yellow seemed like a perfect compliment to complete the color palette.
Come back later for the reception and to find out who made this day happen!

Ritz Carlton Cayman Islands Wedding

Hope you all had a nice weekend!! Today we’re sharing with you one fabulously elegant wedding that took place last month at the Ritz Carlton, Grand Cayman. Red, Black and White were the colors, black magic roses were the flowers and grand was the name of the game.
(Grand Strawberries)
Let’s start at the beginning…the procession came down the Grand Staircase on the northern lawn of the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman. The bride descended and met her father who walked her down the aisle, along the Grand Lawn. (See, I told you it was grand!!).
For their reception, the couple had dinner and dancing in the Grand Ballroom. The room was decked out with red lighting, black and white linen and tall contemporary centerpieces. The cake, was indeed grand…and probably pretty yummy!
We hope you had a fabulous day–thank you for sharing with us!

I came across this wedding on David Wolfe’s blog the other day. Everyone in the photos just seemed like they were having the BEST time and I loved the elegant look of all of the details.
The couple were married at the Ritz Carlton on Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman. The team at the Ritz Carlton joined up with Celebrations to pull off this beautiful affair!
After the sunset ceremony, the couple and their guests dined poolside under the stars and danced the night away to the musical stylings of Suite Elite!

I have been dying to post this wedding for so many reasons. Could it be the beautiful couple? Yes. The gorgeous decor? Yes. Three different dresses? Yes. Basically, it’s everything!!! I hope you enjoy!
This lovely couple chose Cayman for their destination wedding after many years of visiting Grand Cayman as a family. The Bride’s family are regular visitors to Cayman and introduced the groom to this amazing island just a few years ago. He fell in love with it just as quickly as she did, so when it came time to get married, they just knew.
The couple chose the Ritz Carlton, Grand Cayman for their wedding location. Seven Mile Beach was the backdrop for their ceremony, following on to the Grand Terrace for the dinner and the Grand Ballroom for the dancing. All of their guests wore white which further illustrated their love and support for the happy couple.
No detail was left to chance and special touches were everywhere. Above, the cake topper from the Bride’s parent’s wedding was on display next to the guest book-scrapbook. The place settings were complete with a personalized, letterpress menu for each guest.
During dinner, the guests were entertained by fabulous band, Bona Fide then worked their way into the South Beach themed ballroom to dance the night away!

Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Maggie and Mason

Thanks for joining us today and we hope you had a great weekend!!!! We’re so happy to share with you, today, the wedding of Maggie and Mason. Such a lovely couple, they tied the knot on February 26, 2010 at the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman. Once again, the Ritz Carlton produced a lovely, simply elegant affair!
Crystal Blue :: Why did you choose the Cayman Islands for your destination wedding?
Maggie :: We knew we wanted to get married on the beach and have heard wonderful things about the Cayman Islands. We booked it, site unseen, and it was perfect!
Crystal Blue :: Where did you and your guests stay?
Maggie :: We stayed at the Exclusive Resorts by the Ritz Carlton. It was just the two of us and our parents. Originally we were going to head down without anyone, but after thinking more about it, we knew how important it was to have our parents there. I’m so glad they were!
Crystal Blue :: How did you decide on the design for your wedding?
Maggie :: We chose one of the wedding packages offered by the Ritz Carlton, “Two if by Sea”, so it was easy! We wanted the overall look and feel to be clean, soft and low maintenance and that was exactly what it was!
Crystal Blue :: Well you had a gorgeous day and it looks like exactly what you wanted! What did you do to celebrate after the ceremony?
Maggie :: We had dinner on the beach, just the six of us. Then, afterwards we headed up to the lounge where a DJ was playing that night. We danced the night away and pretended all of the people were there for our wedding reception! It was great fun!!
Thank you, Maggie and Mason, for sharing your day with us!!
Have you had or are you planning a beach wedding? We would love to hear from you!!
