You are going to L-O-V-E today’s Cayman Islands Real Wedding! Trust me on this one! The words whimsical, chic and gorgeous come to mind right off the top of my head! Pascale and Kevin live on the island and I have known Pascale for some time as she also works in the wedding industry! Anyway, I saw these photos by Aaron Rebarchek and had to share them with you!
And now some details from the bride….
Crystal Blue: Pascale, tell us about your day–the who, the what, the where (I think we know why!!).
Pascale: The day was amazing (and that word doesn’t even do it justice!). We got married on the beach at Caribbean Club with cocktails at Luca and our reception at Ristorante Pappagallo. We wanted a modern beach wedding inspired by fashion trends and stylish looks we found in various places and opted for a black and white theme with accents of orange, yellow and green. We worked with Celebrations on all of the design aspects, including floral pieces. We also wanted to honor Kevin’s Italian background which is why we chose Luca and Ristorante Pappagallo for our cocktail hour and dinner reception.
Crystal Blue: Well you made some fabulous choices for both location and design!!! Tell us more about your ceremony.
Pascale: We hired Eugenio Leon, the only harpist on the island to perform for us at the Ceremony. It was magical and fit perfectly with the modern beach style we were after. Caribbean Club is also located on the nicest stretch of Seven Mile Beach so we had a splendid setting to begin with. Kevin and I were both so touched by all of the love we felt surrounding us that day…it’s hard to put it into words how special it was.
Crystal Blue: Sounds divine. I’m getting the chills just hearing about it! Tell us more…
Pascale: Aaron Rebarchek was our photographer for the day. We love his style and thought he would be the perfect match for our personalities. In addition to the beach location, we took a number of photos at Camana Bay–just for a change of scenery.
Crystal Blue: Looks like you guys had a lot of fun with this and of course you look gorgeous!!! I love the Gran Torino–great addition to your black and white!!!
We’ll be back with more from Pascale and Kevin in a little while!!

Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Vicki and Tony

I saw the photos of this wedding and immediately fell in love. I heard the story and thought, this is too good to be true! Vicki and Tony exchanged vows on Grand Cayman’s gorgeous Seven Mile Beach as a result of winning a contest through the magazine You & Your Wedding. How about that for a dream come true!!?!
The dress was designed by Ben de Lisi, they stayed and were wed at Caribbean Club with coordination, design and floral from Celebrations, catering from Luca and photography from David Wolfe Photography. The combination of all of these talented folks culminated into sheer gorgeousness.
Crystal Blue: How amazing to win that contest! Tell us about your wedding day.
Vicki: The whole wedding was a dream come true. Both Tony and I will never forget how fantastic our time in the Cayman Islands was…there were so many special moments and of course the overall feeling of how lucky we were to win such a fantastic prize and how honored we were to have such amazing people around us to help us celebrate the day.
Crystal Blue: Well, the location was chosen as part of the contest so at least that was one less decision you had to make! What was the hardest decision you had to make?
Vicki: None!! All of the stress and worry many brides have was completely non-existent. Celebrations took care of everything for me. The hardest thing I had to cope with was deciding on the menu!
Crystal Blue: That sounds great! If you could sum up your wedding in three words, what would they be?
Vicki: Happy, Emotional and Perfect.
We will return later with some more from Vicki and Tony as well as some more gorgeous images from their day!

Welcome to a new week on Crystal Blue Wedding Studio! We hope you had a good weekend and wanted to start off the week with another fabulous Cayman Islands Real Wedding. This couple starts their journey in Cayman long before their wedding when the groom, Alex, surprised the bride, Rachel with a trip to Grand Cayman for her graduate school graduation. If that wasn’t nice enough, he finished off the trip by proposing to Rachel under the moon and stars of Seven Mile Beach! Melissa Wolfe wasn’t there to capture the engagement, but she did a fantastic job capturing the moments (and beautiful sunset colors) of the wedding!
More in a little while from the couple and to find out who made this day possible!

Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Marizen and Jamie

The wedding of Marizen and Jamie pretty much defines the term “simple elegance”. I saw the photos for this wedding and wanted to share it with you, not for the details, but for the fun and happiness you can see exuding from the couple and the guests in the photos.
Rebecca Davidson is the genius behind these shots and in true Rebecca style she really captures the moment.
I just love how the red pops against the gorgeous Cayman Sea…could the day be any more beautiful??
So, as I already mentioned, I define this as simple elegance. I asked Marizen how she described the day and she said “unifying, emotional and fun.”
Crystal Blue: Those are three great words to describe your wedding day! You definitely look like you were having fun! What was the most memorable moment of the day?
Marizen: For both of us it was when I was walking down the aisle. I was walking towards my HUSBAND! I was so excited!
Crystal Blue: That is always my favorite part of any wedding. No matter what, I always get a little teary during the procession. You looked absolutely beautiful, tell us about how you found your dress.
Marizen: I thought the process would be lengthy and difficult since I’ve always been very picky with what I wear. The day I found the dress my Maid of Honor took me to a wedding shop that I really didn’t want to go to. She had me try on a dress that was absolutely enormous! The woman at the shop saw this and came back with something she thought might fit me better…I tried it on and fell in love! I bought it on the spot!!
Crystal Blue: WOW! That was easy!! Were all of your planning decisions equally easy?
Marizen: Yes, everything came together really well for us! We always wanted a small intimate wedding on the beach and knew Grand Cayman was perfect for us. Red is my favorite color and daisies are my favorite flower, so it was easy to incorporate both of those aspects into the wedding. We had our wedding and brunch reception at the Westin on Seven Mile Beach and Celebrations provided all of the flowers. It could not have been easier!
Well, that’s what we love to hear!!!! More in a little while with a few more details and more fun photos from Rebecca Davidson!

We’re back and, as promised, we have some more details from Katherin and Matt’s Grand Cayman wedding! We caught up with the bride and groom to ask them a few questions about the day and the process leading up to the day…
Crystal Blue: Since you were not “on the ground” in Grand Cayman, how did you go about making decisions for your wedding regarding design, vendors, etc.?
Katherine: I am not a decisive person so I wanted someone who would make most of the decisions for me. I knew I wanted it to be simple, elegant, include a lot of flowers and the color lavender. From there, Camilla at the Ritz Carlton, Grand Cayman did the rest–and it was perfect!!! She made everything so easy and didn’t miss one detail!
Crystal Blue: Tell us about your favorites–moment of the day, design element or anything else that comes to mind!
Katherin: It’s hard to pick one piece–the entire day was magical! If I have to decide, though, my favorite piece of the decor were the two huge flower arrangements on either side of the canopy we were married under. They were breathtaking!!!!
Without a doubt, the most memorable moment of that day (aside from actually getting married!) was when my soon to be husband had a gift delivered to me. He wrote me the most heartfelt letter I have ever read and gave me a beautiful necklace with his birthstone. I was speechless!
Here’s some more from David Wolfe. Such a beautiful day for such a beautiful couple!!!!
We’ll be back in a little while with some final details from Katherin and Matt’s fabulous day!!!
