Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Josephine and Stephen

I’ve been browsing through some “blasts from the past” and came across this wedding I posted a long, long time ago (about a year and a half ago).  I just love it–I’ve always loved it.  The colors, the opulence and the gorgeous couple–I felt the need to share with you again!  Hope you enjoy and have a great weekend!!

First, the couple…HELLO magazine models (well, actually the bride is).  Second, the colors–WOW is really all I can say about that…just too beautiful!

Let’s get you started with some of this eye candy by Aaron Rebarchek ::

Isn’t that aisle just beautiful?  I told you it was different than what we usually show here!

Josephine’s favorite design element was the bridesmaid bouquets.  Check them out below!  Lime green mums with teal ostrich feathers against the bright purple dress–again, I say, WOW!  It’s not often that you see weddings with this amount of color and I love it!

No detail was left unnoticed at the reception.  Lush linens, peacock feathers. chandeliers, candelabra and more.  Each of the tables were named after famous couples from history as opposed to the standard table numbers.

Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Brittain and Brian, Part 2

Welcome back to this tropically festive fabulous wedding!

Crystal Blue ::  There are so many lovely details in this wedding.  What was your favorite design element?

B&B ::  Scrolled messages in a bottle gave everyone their table seating. The table names were of Essie nail polish colors related to wedding names liked “Happily Ever After” and “Wedded Bliss.” Each woman had the nail color of their table at their seat.

At the end of the evening, all of the sudden, fireworks went off!!  They weren’t planned for the wedding but a nearby location had them for an event and luckily everyone at the wedding benefited from the spectacular display!  As my Dad said, timing is everything!!

Happy Monday everyone!!  I hope you all had a nice weekend (and for you locals, I hope you are continuing to enjoy yours!).  Today we’re featuring yet another wonderful Cayman Islands wedding–this one full of turquoise details and fun times!!

I love all of the different shades of blue and the beach details.  This couple really brought in the Caribbean flavor without going over the top into cheesy detail!  I’m really in love with the swirl flourish on their centerpieces!!

This lovely outdoor venue, Hemingways at Grand Cayman Beach Suites, is an ideal intimate location for smaller wedding groups.

Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Erin and Christopher, Part 2

Welcome back for Part 2 of Erin and Christopher’s not-so-scary Halloween wedding!  With the ceremony at Grand Old House, decked out with tropical goodness, this couple (and their group) really had a fabulous day!

Above…the iguana wasn’t invited to the wedding, by the way!

I know it’s not about me, but my favorite part of their story is this…

The hardest part of the planning process was picking a date.  Both of us have extremely busy schedules….we rarely see each other.  I work nights as a nurse and Chris works days as an engineer.  We originally wanted to get married in the summer, but could not make it work so we then had to switch to the fall.  My dad is a huge University of Delaware football fan and ever since I was a little girl I was told I was not allowed to get married during football season.  We checked the schedule and noticed that Delaware was not playing the weekend of October 30th so we decided to get married that weekend.  (I love that they scheduled their date around Football…true, true fans!!!)

Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Sheryl and Craig, The Reception

Now it’s time for the reception!  What a better place to celebrate the love than at Casanova’s!  If you’ve never been, this amazing restaurant is a must-go.  You immediately feel like family from the moment you walk in the door and don’t forget to wear your elastic waist pants (I’m sure the groom and groomsmen had them on!) because the food is just too good to not indulge.

First, how about this stunning post-ceremony photo??

I love this long table (below).  Perfect for an Italian feast and a cheers here and there!

Now that is one huge smile!  Congratulations Sheryl and Craig!!!

Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: Rachelle and Justin, The Reception

Welcome back!  I promised you some cute details and here’s where you’ll find them!  First, though, some more gorgeousness from Better Angle and the Ritz Carlton.

So Rachelle and Justin love their dog.  I mean, REALLY L-O-V-E their dog.  Unfortunately he couldn’t make the trip, but that didn’t stop them from incorporating him into their wedding details.

The favors…

The escort cards….(note the dog collar used to hang the luggage tag)

And finally…

I had to do a double take on this one, but alas, they are human cookies.

Cayman Islands Real Wedding :: The Botanical Gardens

As you may (or may not) be aware, you can arrive in Grand Cayman by cruise ship and get married the same day.  Oh, and as you can see, even though you are only here for a few hours, you don’t actually need to compromise on your dream wedding!

Today’s wedding couple arrived by cruise ship, had a gorgeous wedding in the Botanical Gardens and then a reception lunch before heading back to the ship for the rest of the cruise.  As you can see, the bride is gorgeous, the set up is simple but beautiful, the flowers amazing…no compromising here!

You know I’m completely digging the aqua color palatte, by the way!
